About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join their multidisciplinary team in Benoni, Gauteng . This role focuses on providing comprehensive occupational therapy services to children with a wide range of developmental, physical, sensory, and learning challenges. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of child development, evidence-based paediatric interventions, and a passion for helping children achieve their maximum potential. You will work closely with families, educators, and other healthcare professionals to create individualized therapy plans and support systems within the Benoni community and surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough occupational therapy assessments for children, identifying strengths and areas for development.

• Provide direct therapy sessions to children, both individually and in group settings.

• Stay current with advancements in paediatric occupational therapy through continuous professional development.
• Advocate for the needs of children and their families within relevant systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Current registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as an Occupational Therapist.
• Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience, with a significant focus on paediatric occupational therapy.
• Proven experience working with children with conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, developmental delays, cerebral palsy, and learning disabilities.
