Job summary

Tiger Brands is seeking a production operations supervisor to oversee and coordinate daily production activities, maximise equipment availability and efficiency, and ensure safe, compliant operations in line with production plans.

You will lead production teams, collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Planning and Warehouse, manage overtime and labour costs, and drive continuous improvement to reduce waste and improve performance across the plant.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of production teams and day-to-day performance management.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety and production standards.
• Coordinate with Engineering/Quality/Planning/Warehouse for efficient plant operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate daily production activities to meet targets.
• Drive OEE of >85% and optimise machine utilisation.
• Monitor machine availability, output, running hours and variances.
• Plan and allocate labour and resources effectively.
• Coordinate proactive maintenance with Engineering.
• Lead cost reduction and efficiency improvement initiatives.
• Prepare accurate production and operational reports.
• Ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
• Oversee overtime and contract labour within budget.
