Job summary

Greys Personnel in Durban, South Africa, seeks a seasoned Production Supervisor to lead on-shift production teams in a large-scale printing environment. You will drive targets, quality, schedules and safety while optimizing downtime and material usage.

The ideal candidate has extensive printing industry experience, strong leadership and a proven ability to manage production teams, materials and consumables in a fast-paced plant.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 and a relevant production qualification.
• 5+ years supervisory/management experience in printing.
• Extensive experience in large-scale printing/manufacturing.
• Experience managing production teams, materials and consumables.
• Strong understanding of production planning, quality, OEE and uptime.
• Computer literate and comfortable with production figures.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Printing industry experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage production teams during the shift.
• Ensure production targets, quality standards and schedules are achieved.
• Monitor machine performance, downtime and OEE.
• Manage materials, consumables and WIP.
• Ensure machinery maintenance and breakdowns are followed up.
• Maintain discipline, attendance and correct utilisation of staff.
• Ensure health & safety and quality procedures are followed.
• Complete shift handovers and communicate production priorities.
