Job summary

JVR Software in Stellenbosch is seeking a detail-focused Stock Controller for our packhouse/warehouse operations. You will manage packaging material stock, ensure production demands are met, and coordinate carton folding to support schedules.

The role requires accuracy, strong reporting skills, and the ability to work under pressure. Overtime and night shifts may be required during peak season; own transport is preferred.

Qualifications

• Matric/Grade 12 is required and relevant experience preferred.
• Experience in a packhouse/warehouse environment is essential.
• Strong stock control and inventory management skills required.
• High level of accuracy with strong reporting and administrative skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist System Manager with system administration as needed.
• Manage and control packaging material stock within the packhouse environment.
• Minimise excess stock at the end of each commodity cycle.
• Ensure stock levels are maintained to meet production demands.
• Work with production teams to anticipate material needs.
• Coordinate carton folding to support production schedules.
• Maintain buffer stock of folded cartons.
• Order packaging materials per company protocols.
• Record and report data from carton folding machines.
• Capture and maintain data related to carton waste and usage.
• Monitor, manage and record carton waste accurately.
• Compile and submit daily stock level reports.
• Conduct daily stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
