Job summary

AB InBev Africa in Brakpan is seeking a Packaging Engineering Leader to optimize asset care, reliability and plant performance in the packaging hall. You will lead a skilled engineering team and drive maintenance strategies to meet safety and quality standards.

The role requires a BSc in Engineering, extensive maintenance experience, and people-management skills. You will partner with operations to minimize downtime and cost while delivering reliable, compliant packaging operations.

Qualifications

• BSc Engineering or equivalent degree is required.
• Government Certificate of Competence would be highly advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Production Maintenance Management with asset management.
• Experience in managing a high-speed packaging line is highly advantageous.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in people management.

Responsibilities

• Partake in asset care plan development for the packaging hall and implement it.
• Ensure asset care goals are reflected in engineering team goals and training.
• Lead plant reliability, provide engineering support to shift-based production.
• Verify routine maintenance, data integrity, and quality of work.
• Drive safety, compliance with OSH and SAB policies in the packaging hall.
• Lead and review engineering team goals and conduct performance reviews.
• Identify improvement opportunities from plant data and implement fixes.
