Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is seeking a Sales Development Consultant in Sandton to join a high-volume outbound sales team and build relationships with SME prospects. You will pre-qualify leads, research industries and funding needs, and drive qualification through the CRM system.

The role requires matric and outbound call center experience, with SME or retail exposure considered an advantage. Daily activity includes extensive calling, lead pre-scrubbing, and collaboration with senior funding

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12) is the minimum educational attainment.
• Outbound sales call center experience is required.
• SME or retail experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Invest in understanding the SME market, industries, funding needs and reasons.
• Understand Company products and how to tailor funding solutions.
• Research each lead and capture insights in the CRM to build rapport.
• Uncover client funding needs and map Company offerings to those needs.
• Maintain lead pipelines in the CRM and contact leads with appropriate frequency.
• Keep CRM data accurate and close leads in the correct category for future engagement.
• Maintain around 80 calls per day in a high-volume sales environment.
• Pre-screen clients to ensure they meet Company criteria and funding size capabilities.
• Collaborate with Senior funding specialists on weekly rotations to learn strategies.
