Job summary

Smith+ Nephew Cape Town is seeking a Sales Representative to drive launch, promotion and sales of a dedicated orthopaedic product range to surgeons. The role includes ongoing education on application and usage and reports to the Regional Sales Manager.

We value hands-on theatre support, in‑service training, and proactive territory planning with a hybrid work model. Successful candidates have health sciences qualifications, relevant medical device sales experience, and a valid driver’s license

Qualifications

• Matric with a Health Sciences degree and sales experience in medical devices.
• Physiotherapist or Biokineticist qualification preferred.
• At least 2 years’ experience in Reconstruction/Arthroplasty theatre with hip/knee procedures.
• Scrubbing experience is essential.
• Valid driver’s license and own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Launch, promote and sell a specific orthopaedic product range to surgeons.
• Conduct continuing education on correct application and usage of products.
• Maintain quarterly business plans and exceed sales targets.
• Be present in theatre and provide real-time technical support.
• Record calls, submit monthly reports and participate in reviews.
