Job summary

Astral Foods Ltd in Pietermaritzburg is seeking an experienced Customer Orders Clerk to capture and process orders received by telephone and email, and to monitor cash sales and COD transactions. The role demands high accuracy and the ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.

You will apply planning and forecasting skills to reschedule orders as needed, handle customer queries professionally and timeously, maintain strict adherence to company policies, and stay flexible to changing

Qualifications

• Matric/Grade 12 is required.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and strong computer literacy.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to manage customer complaints effectively.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Willingness to work overtime when required.
• Valid driver’s license.

The Ideal Candidate Would Be Responsible For

• Ensuring strict adherence to company policies and procedures;
• Maintaining flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and operational needs;
• Reviewing standing orders and action any outstanding or carry-over orders.

The Successful Candidate Must Meet The Following Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric)

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
