Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in designing fiber optic networks.
• Proficiency with CAD/network design tools and optical network simulation tools.

Responsibilities

• Design detailed fiber optic network plans including backbone, distribution, and access layers.
• Select appropriate fiber types, connectors, conduits, and equipment.
• Use CAD software and network design tools to create layouts and schematics.
• Conduct feasibility studies and site surveys for design decisions.
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards, codes, and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers, field engineers, and construction teams to implement designs in Paarl and surrounding areas.
