Job summary

Telkom South Africa Openserve seeks an experienced Ops Manager: Core Network Field Ops to supervise maintenance, operations and commissioning for a geographic area. You will lead non-voice and megaline services, plan activities, allocate resources and ensure network performance.

The role requires strong leadership, planning and adherence to safety and compliance, with a focus on delivering reliable core network services and continuous improvement across field teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum NQF 4 education or Grade 12 with relevant modular training.
• Experience in core network operations and field services is preferred.
• Strong leadership and planning abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance, operations and commissioning in the designated area.
• Plan, coordinate and monitor field activities to ensure service standards.
• Allocate resources and oversee performance and safety compliance.
• Lead and develop field teams to deliver reliable core network services.

Core Description

To manage/ supervise the maintenance, operational and services commissioning activities of a geographical or functional area, of thecore communications network. This includes non voice and megaline services and the commissioning thereof, through planning, leadership,coordination, measurement and control, to optimally use resources to ensure that the network is functioning at acceptable standards.
