Job summary

ShopriteX is seeking an Operations Team Leader to oversee the performance and compliance of contracted drivers across assigned stores. You will ensure outputs align with client SLAs, SOPs, and regulatory requirements, and manage asset access for contractors to deliver services as required.

You will coordinate driver availability, monitor performance, provide on-the-job training, handle driver queries, report incidents, and contribute to continuous improvement with the Area Manager.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent is essential.
• Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Safety Management or a related field is essential.
• +3 years' experience in an operations environment is essential.
• 1 year of supervisory experience is desirable.
• Familiarity with performance management and improvement is essential.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 with focus on applicable tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage performance objectives of clusters and apply corrective measures per policies and procedures.
• Co-ordinate contracted driver availability and schedules daily and weekly.
• Perform daily and weekly compliance checks on drivers and assets and ensure regulatory conditions.
• Provide on-the-job training and address driver queries promptly.
• Report in-field incidents and accidents promptly and assist with incident documentation.
• Contribute to continuous cluster improvement with recommendations to the Area Manager.
• Collate and submit budget inputs as required.
