Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the supply chain, including procurement, logistics, warehousing, and distribution, within the Centurion operations.
• Develop and implement operational strategies and plans to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
• Manage inventory levels effectively, ensuring optimal stock availability while minimizing holding costs.
• Lead and mentor the operations team, fostering a culture of performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational efficiency and identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory standards within the operational environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments, including sales, finance, and production, to align operational goals with business objectives.
• Drive process improvements and implement best practices in supply chain management and logistics.
• Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and suppliers.
• Develop and manage the operational budget, ensuring financial targets are met.

Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in operations management, supply chain, or logistics, preferably in the FMCG sector.
• Demonstrated success in improving operational efficiency and reducing costs.
• Strong understanding of supply chain principles, inventory management, and WMS/ERP systems.
• Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams in a demanding environment.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in data analysis and performance reporting.
• A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Familiarity with the Gauteng logistics landscape and Centurion business environment is advantageous.
• Experience in implementing lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
