Placements24 is seeking an experienced Operations Manager for its Energy Storage Solutions division in Benoni, Gauteng. You will oversee day-to-day operations, project execution, and service delivery of advanced battery energy storage systems for diverse clients.

You will lead a team of technicians and engineers, ensure safety, efficiency, and quality, and drive continuous improvement while managing budgets and stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of operations management experience, preferably in energy, renewables, or electrical infrastructure.
• Experience with energy storage systems (BESS), grid-tied systems or power electronics is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, safety protocols and project management principles.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with software for operations management and reporting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

About the Role

This pivotal role will oversee the day-to-day operations, project execution, and service delivery of our advanced energy storage systems. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe deployment, maintenance, and performance of battery energy storage systems (BESS) for various clients. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in operations management, project coordination, and a deep understanding of electrical systems and renewable energy technologies. This position demands excellent leadership, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to operational excellence. The role is primarily on-site in Benoni, Gauteng , requiring active management of teams and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
