About the Role

Our client, a leader in renewable energy integration, is seeking an innovative Energy Storage Solutions Engineer to join their team in Bloemfontein, Free State . This role is essential for designing, developing, and implementing advanced energy storage systems that complement renewable energy generation and enhance grid stability. You will be involved in all phases of the project lifecycle, from conceptual design and technical feasibility to system integration and performance optimization. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of battery technologies, power electronics, and grid integration principles, coupled with excellent problem-solving abilities. This hybrid role involves both on-site analysis and collaboration, as well as remote system design and consultation, offering a dynamic work experience. Key Responsibilities

• Design and engineer energy storage systems (ESS), including battery energy storage systems (BESS) and hybrid systems.
• Conduct technical feasibility studies and site assessments for potential ESS deployments.

• Develop detailed system architecture, electrical schematics, and performance models.

Requirements

• Familiarity with grid codes, interconnection standards, and utility regulations.
