Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Operations Manager to oversee energy storage facilities in Nelspruit. The role combines on-site management with remote oversight to maximize uptime, safety, and performance of battery systems.

You will lead a team of technicians and engineers, implement best practices, and ensure compliance with EH&S regulations. This position supports renewable integration and grid stability across Mpumalanga.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical) or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in operations management, with at least 3 years in energy sector.
• Proven experience managing technical teams and operational budgets.
• Strong understanding of battery technologies (e.g., Lithium-ion), power conversion systems, and grid interconnection.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
