Job summary

Objective Personnel is seeking an experienced Operations Manager in a manufacturing/packaging environment. You will lead daily plant operations, manage maintenance strategies and drive continuous improvement across all equipment and processes.

The role requires 5+ years in operational or maintenance management, a relevant qualification, and a proven ability to optimize production while maintaining safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Matric or Senior Certificate is required.
• A relevant qualification in Operations or Maintenance Management is preferred.
• 5+ years of operational or maintenance management experience in manufacturing or packaging.
• Proven track record in preventative maintenance systems and production optimization.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily plant workflow, production targets, resource allocation and efficiency.
• Responsible for daily factory opening and closing, ensuring site security.
• Manage preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance programs across all plant equipment to minimize downtime.
• Lead, mentor and schedule maintenance and production staff to drive continuous improvement.
• Enforce health, safety and environmental standards (OHSA/SHEQ).
• Monitor operational expenditures, spare parts inventory and maintenance costs.
