Job summary

RiseUp Group is seeking an experienced Operations & Maintenance Manager to lead our Germiston production site. You will oversee daily plant operations, drive maintenance strategies, and manage a dedicated team to achieve safety and productivity targets.

The role requires a proven track record in manufacturing maintenance, strong leadership, and the ability to optimise equipment performance while controlling costs and ensuring OHSA/SHEQ compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ operational or maintenance management experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment.
• Proven track record in preventative maintenance systems and production optimisation.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Computer literate.
• Experience with sachet filling machines or liquid packaging equipment (advantageous but not essential).

Responsibilities

• Operations leadership: Oversee daily plant workflow, production targets, resource allocation and operational efficiency.
• Maintenance strategy: Manage preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance programmes across all plant equipment to minimise downtime.
• Team management: Lead, mentor and schedule maintenance and production staff, driving a culture of continuous improvement.
• Safety and compliance: Enforce strict adherence to health, safety and environmental standards (OHSA/SHEQ).
• Budgeting and costs: Monitor operational expenditure, control spare parts inventory and optimise maintenance costs.
