Job summary

Famous Brands seeks a seasoned Supply Chain leader to analyse, develop and implement improved strategies across manufacturing and logistics. The role aims to transform operational performance with strong analytical leadership and a focus on people development.

You will support executive level initiatives, drive national manufacturing and logistics projects, and deliver insights to improve business performance while ensuring safety and governance across all sites.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification (B. Com or Diploma).
• Preferably 5 - 10 years experience in an FMCG Distribution environment.

Responsibilities

• Support executive leadership to analyse and implement key supply chain strategies.
• Project manage national manufacturing and logistics initiatives.
• Develop reports, conduct deep analysis and deliver actionable insights.
• Organise and lead a high performing team aligned to company values.

Introduction

Support the Supply Chain (manufacturing and logistics) to analyse, develop and implement improved supply chain strategies in line with the Famous Brands' objectives and to ensure optimization of manufacturing and logistics operations. To analysis and/or Project Manage key national initiatives, including the entrenching of the Supply Chain Way. Transform Manufacturing Plant and Distribution Centre operational performance through a strong analytical approach and people leadership.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Support the Group Executive: Supply Chain and the Managing Executive: Manufacturing & Technical and the Managing Executive: Logistics to analyse, develop and implement key supply chain strategies.
• Project Manage and implement national Manufacturing and Logistics initiatives including the Supply Chain Way and Technology implementation, in line with the Famous Brands' logistics strategies.
• Develop reports, conduct deep analysis and develop insights and solutions that step-change the business performance.
• Able to develop a high performing, motivated, disciplined and positive team aligned to the company core values.
• Organising and controlling the operational resources to ensure maximum efficiency of the Plants and Distribution Centres through effective management of people, assets, costs and productivity
• Maintain all legal, health and safety and Company policy requirements are strictly adhered to.
• Ensure all employees have the equipment, training and tools to carry out their duties effectively.
• To ensure that all operational standards and procedures within the depot are carried out effectively in line with company operating procedures
• Develop and implement plans to deliver all elements of the company objectives
• To drive effective service delivery across both internal and external customers
• Management and coordination of integrated operations across multiple logistics functions servicing internal and external customers
• Development and execution of the Supply Chain Business Plan in line with Group imperatives
• Responsible for Financial and Legal governance o Manage financial performance o Drive profitability o Ensure corporate governance is adhered to
• Oversee:
• Inventory Management o Production Operations o Logistics Operations o Health and Safety and overall Risk mitigation
• Drive Customer Service through tailored service offering
• Drive productivity and performance across the warehouse and distribution chain

• Management of 3 rd Party Contractors and Service Providers
• Work closely with the relevant business partners within the support functions to implement and drive policies, procedures and business initiatives
