Job summary

JVR Software is seeking a capable Financial/Operations Accountant to manage financial transactions, including supplier invoices and purchase orders, while supporting cost control and fixed asset processes. The role involves collaborating with operational teams to ensure accurate costing and timely reporting.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in a related field, at least three years in accounting or finance, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with accounting software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years experience in a financial or operational accounting role, preferably within FMCG, retail or sales-driven environment.
• Experienced in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Business Central advantageous)

Responsibilities

• Process and verify financial transactions, supplier invoices, purchase orders and operational expenses
• Capture approved budget amendments, monitor expenditure and investigate variances
• Perform reconciliations, monitor operational costs and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Assist with month-end processes, financial reporting and maintaining accurate financial records and systems
• Support operational teams with financial procedures, purchasing processes and cost control
• Coordinate international freight bookings and export shipments, including tracking, documentation and liaison with freight forwarders and shipping agents
• Capture and reconcile freight and export costs, verify invoices and maintain supporting documentation
• Support the finance team and identify opportunities to improve financial and operational processes
