Job summary

Mediclinic is seeking a qualified emergency medical professional to attend to emergency calls and provide advanced medical care in line with the scope of practice.

The role requires Essential Education in Critical Care/EMS with ALS operating experience. A National Diploma or equivalent is expected, with administrative duties and public image stewardship as part of the duties.

Qualifications

• ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Critical Care Assistant (CCA) or National diploma in emergency medical or Diploma Emergency Medical Care.
• DESIRED EDUCATION: Training related to Clinical Practice Guidelines published by HPCSA; training during probation if not compliant.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

Required Education

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Critical Care Assistant (CCA) or National diploma in emergency medical or Diploma Emergency Medical Care.

DESIRED EDUCATION: Successful completion of training related to Clinical Practice Guidelines published by the Health Professions Council of South Africa will be advantageous. If not compliant with the clinical practice guidelines at the time of application you will be required to complete this training during your probation period if successful in your application.

Required Experience

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Newly qualified ALS with operational EMS experience

DESIRED EXPERIENCE: 1 years ALS operational experience
