Job summary

Staff Connection, Inc. is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Manager to oversee on-site maintenance, appearance, cleanliness, and safety across the property. You will lead a maintenance team, coordinate contractors, manage stock and procurement, and drive preventative maintenance while tracking KPIs.

You will ensure OHS compliance, manage budgets, and work closely with the Residence Manager and operations team. On-site living is required for this role, and SA citizenship is requested.

Qualifications

• Matric certificate or equivalent required.
• Diploma/degree in Facilities Management or related field.
• Minimum 35 years in facilities/maintenance management.
• Hands-on, practical approach with strong technical aptitude.
• Solid understanding of preventative maintenance and contractor management.
• Knowledge of OHS, compliance and risk management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and facilities systems.
• Strong organisational, problem-solving and people-management skills.
• Own vehicle and valid driver’s licence; willing to live on site.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance, appearance, cleanliness and functionality of the property.
• Manage and support a maintenance team, including daily repairs and emergency call-outs.
• Drive preventative maintenance and address issues promptly.
• Coordinate and manage contractors and service providers.
• Oversee cleaning, security, landscaping and outsourced services.
• Ensure OHS, health, safety and risk requirements are maintained.
• Keep accurate records of inspections, incidents, repairs and maintenance.
• Monitor operational and maintenance budgets and track purchase orders.
• Work closely with the Residence Manager and wider operations team.
• Provide leadership and operational support in the Residence Manager’s absence.
• Maintain relevant facilities systems and reporting, including maintenance tracking and KPIs.
