Job summary

Visit.org is seeking an experienced Freelance Event Specialist to manage logistics for in-person events in Santon, South Africa. The role is on-site, per-event, with a focus on delivering engaging, high-quality experiences for corporate partners and nonprofits.

The ideal candidate has corporate event experience, is a self-starter, and can adapt quickly in a startup tech environment. Availability for nights/weekends and travel within the local region is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in complex, large-scale events and smaller executive-level events.
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to manage on-site logistics and vendor coordination.
• Comfort with physical tasks and long hours on event days.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all event details, shipping materials, and staffing for each event.
• Be on-site hands-on to set up, run the event, and tear down.
• Join planning meetings with corporate partners, nonprofits, and hosts.
• Lead as Visit.org representative, ensuring high-quality guest experience.
