Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly educated Medical Science Liaison (MSL) specializing in Oncology to cover the Klerksdorp region. You will be the scientific and medical expert, engaging with KOLs, healthcare professionals and researchers to foster scientific exchange and provide in‑depth information on the company’s oncology portfolio.

This field-based role requires deep oncology knowledge, the ability to convey complex data clearly, and a proven track record in medical affairs.

Qualifications

• Advanced scientific degree in life sciences (PharmD, PhD, MD or equivalent).
• 4+ years experience as an MSL or in medical affairs with a focus on oncology.
• Deep knowledge of oncology therapeutics, clinical trials and literature.
• Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with medical experts.
• Willingness to travel extensively across the territory.

Responsibilities

• Engage with KOLs and healthcare providers on clinical data and disease state.
• Provide scientific and clinical support to medical affairs and R&D.
• Identify and develop key opinion leader relationships and collaborations.
• Gather insights on therapeutic trends, unmet needs, and competitive intelligence.
• Present complex scientific data clearly to diverse audiences.
• Support advisory boards and investigator meetings as part of medical affairs.
