Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Clinical Pharmacist specializing in Oncology to join a hospital in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. You will provide specialized pharmacotherapy management for cancer patients and collaborate with oncologists, nurses, and other professionals.

The role emphasizes patient education, monitoring outcomes, and contributing to oncology services and safety initiatives within a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• PharmD or BPharm degree from an accredited institution.
• Licensed Pharmacist with SAPC in good standing.
• 2–3 years of clinical pharmacy experience, oncology preferred.
• Completion of a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency; PGY2 Oncology Residency highly preferred.
• Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy (BCPS) or Oncology (BCOP) desirable.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and critical thinking skills.

Responsabilités

• Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care to oncology patients, including pharmacotherapy management, monitoring drug interactions and toxicity.
• Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and rounds.
• Educate patients on therapies, side effects and adherence strategies.
• Monitor patient outcomes and intervene to optimize therapy.
• Contribute to medication safety initiatives and documentation.
