Placements24 seeks a skilled Control Systems Engineer to join our client’s team in Tembisa, Gauteng. You will design, implement, test, and maintain advanced control systems for power generation facilities, working hands-on on-site.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in industrial automation, strong PLC/HMI/SCADA experience, and knowledge of safety standards and network protocols. On-site work in Tembisa is required with opportunities for growth.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechatronics/Computer Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in control systems engineering in automation, preferably power/energy sector.
• Proficiency with Siemens, Rockwell or Schneider PLC platforms and HMI/SCADA software.
• Knowledge of IEC safety standards and industrial communications protocols.

Responsabilidades

• Design robust control system architectures for power generation plants.
• Program, configure, and troubleshoot PLCs, DCS, and HMI systems.
• Develop and maintain SCADA for real-time monitoring and control.
• Perform system integration, testing, and commissioning of new systems.
• Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers for optimal operation.
• Develop alarm management and SIS strategies.
• Provide technical support and training to operations/maintenance teams.
• Analyze system data to optimize control strategies and detect issues.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of reliability and efficiency.
