Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a qualified Insurance Claims Assessor to join our client’s team in Kimberley. The role involves on-site inspections of damaged properties, accurate loss assessment, and creating detailed reports to support settlements.

You will work closely with claims adjusters and policyholders, ensuring compliance with policy terms while building professional client relationships. The ideal candidate has experience in insurance claims, strong knowledge of construction or vehicle

Qualifications

• Experience as a Claims Assessor, loss adjuster, or in a related field within the insurance industry.
• Strong understanding of construction, property damage, or vehicle repair principles.
• Excellent observational skills and attention to detail in documenting damages.
• Proficiency in creating detailed assessment reports using relevant software or templates.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with clients.
• Ability to work independently and manage a schedule of site visits in and around Kimberley.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical inspections of damaged properties (homes, vehicles, commercial buildings) to assess extent of loss.
• Prepare detailed reports outlining damage, estimated repair costs, and recommendations for settlement.
• Gather documentation, evidence, and photographic records at the assessment site.
• Communicate assessment findings to policyholders and answer questions.
• Liaise with repair professionals, contractors, and other experts to validate repair estimates.
• Ensure compliance with policy terms, conditions, and regulatory requirements during assessment.
