Staff Solutions Recruitment in Cape Town seeks a maintenance technician to support chemical plant operations, focusing on stock control, equipment checks, and safe handling of detergents. You will monitor mixing tanks, dosing pumps, and drum levels, perform weekly/monthly inspections, and keep accurate records.

A Grade 12 or equivalent and 1–3 years of electrical/maintenance experience are required. The role emphasizes health and safety, PPE, and cooperation with plant staff to ensure quality

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent.
• 1–3 years electrical maintenance experience.
• 1–3 years maintenance experience using power tools.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Office packages (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Intermediate knowledge of virtual programs (e.g. MS Teams, Zoom, etc.)

Responsabilités

• Daily/regular checks of plant equipment and chemical tanks to ensure proper operation.
• Record stock and maintenance activities, and report any abnormalities.
• Ensure health & safety practices are followed and PPE is worn.
• Monitor washing/dosing processes and ensure correct wash programs are used.
• Maintain documentation of routine checks and reflectometer readings as required.
