Placements24 is seeking a diligent Chemical Process Technician to support plant operations in Bloemfontein. You will monitor process equipment, run routine tests, and assist engineers with process adjustments to ensure safe, efficient operation.

Excellent for technically minded individuals with a drive to gain experience in the chemical industry in the Free State. The role involves hands-on plant work, equipment monitoring, data logging, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards.

About the Role

Our client is looking for a diligent Chemical Process Technician to support their operations in Bloemfontein . This role involves hands-on work in the plant, monitoring process equipment, performing routine tests, and assisting engineers with process adjustments. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of the facility. Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor process equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Perform routine quality control tests and record results accurately.
• Assist engineers in troubleshooting process deviations and implementing corrective actions.
• Maintain process logs, equipment logs, and safety records.
• Ensure adherence to all safety and environmental regulations within the plant.
• Perform basic maintenance and calibration of process instruments and equipment.

Requirements

• National Diploma or NTC in Chemical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Previous experience in a chemical plant or manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Understanding of basic chemical processes and equipment.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
• Basic computer literacy for data entry and record keeping.
