Placements24 is seeking an experienced Aquatic Centre Operations Manager for a premier leisure facility in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. You will oversee day-to-day operations, pool water quality, lifeguard management, program coordination, and facility maintenance to ensure safety and a high-quality user experience.

The role requires leading staff, developing emergency action plans, coordinating swimming lessons and aqua fitness, managing budgets, and upholding health and safety protocols

Qualifikationen

• Proven experience in managing aquatic facilities or similar leisure operations.
• Strong knowledge of pool operations, water chemistry, and pool safety regulations.
• Current lifeguard certification and First Aid/CPR qualifications are essential.
• Experience in staff management, scheduling, and training.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to develop and manage budgets.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Demonstrated commitment to health and safety protocols.
• A qualification in Pool Operations or Facility Management is a significant advantage.

Aufgaben

• Oversee all operational aspects of the aquatic centre, including pool water quality and safety compliance.
• Manage and schedule a team of lifeguards, swim instructors, and support staff.
• Develop and implement emergency action plans and ensure staff are trained accordingly.
• Coordinate and promote swimming lessons, aqua fitness classes, and other aquatic programs.
• Manage facility maintenance, repairs, and cleanliness to ensure a high-quality user experience.
• Enforce facility rules and regulations to ensure patron safety and satisfaction.
• Manage inventory of supplies and equipment, and oversee budget adherence for the aquatic centre.
• Respond effectively to patron inquiries, feedback, and any incidents that may arise.
• Collaborate with other facility managers to ensure integrated service delivery.
