Placements24 is seeking an experienced Aquatic Centre Manager to oversee a premier facility in George, Western Cape. You will lead daily operations, supervise staff, and ensure high standards in safety, water quality, and customer experience.

The role requires 3–5 years of management in aquatic settings, professional lifesaving qualifications, and strong budgeting skills. Relocation to George is expected for this on-site position, with opportunities to develop community aquatic programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years of management experience in an aquatic facility or leisure centre environment.
• Current Lifesaving qualifications (e.g., NLS, NOSS) and First Aid certification are mandatory.
• Demonstrated knowledge of pool operations, water chemistry, and aquatic safety standards.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven financial management and budgeting experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the aquatic centre, including pool maintenance, safety protocols, and staff supervision.
• Develop, implement, and promote a diverse range of swimming programs, lessons, and fitness classes.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and water quality standards, complying with local regulations.
• Manage budgets, control expenses, and identify revenue generation opportunities.
• Recruit, train, schedule, and evaluate lifeguards, instructors, and other aquatic staff.
• Oversee facility maintenance, repairs, and upgrades to ensure safety and functionality.
• Foster relationships with patrons, community groups, and sporting bodies.
• Develop emergency action plans and conduct safety drills.
• Maintain records of attendance, financials, and incident reports.
