You will develop strategic initiatives, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards, delivering exceptional customer experiences and coordinating with other departments to integrate aquatic services with facility

Qualifications

• Senior aquatics management experience required.
• Current lifeguard and CPR/First Aid certifications mandatory.
• CPO certification highly preferred.
• Strong leadership and budget management skills essential.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Aquatics Manager to oversee all aspects of aquatic operations within our leisure facilities in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal. This is a pivotal role responsible for ensuring the safety, quality, and profitability of our swimming pools and related activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of pool management, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. You will be instrumental in developing and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance our aquatic offerings and maintain the highest standards of operational excellence. Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations related to pool operations.

• Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
• Conduct regular safety audits and implement risk management strategies.
• Manage inventory of aquatic supplies and equipment.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a senior aquatics management or pool operations role.
• Current lifeguard and CPR/First Aid certifications are mandatory.
• Certification in Pool Operations (e.g., CPO) is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of pool chemistry, filtration systems, and maintenance procedures.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and control costs.
• Experience in developing and managing aquatic programming.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal operations.
• Proficiency in using pool management software and standard office applications.
