Job summary

Bed King in South Africa seeks an On Rent Services Resource to ensure the on-rent fleet is safe, compliant and well-maintained.

You will coordinate vehicle servicing, liaise with customers and service providers, monitor OOS vehicles and maintain accurate service records to maximise fleet availability.

Role based at OR Tambo, will contribute to a vibrant team and drive operational excellence with strong organisation and customer service focus.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric with at least 1 year working experience.
• Valid South African ID and a valid driver’s licence.
• Good communication skills in English, with strong administrative ability and attention to detail.
• Computer literate with experience using Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate servicing requirements for vehicles on rent.
• Monitor Out of Service (OOS) vehicles and follow up on maintenance.
• Generate service records and reports using TSD or similar fleet system.
• Liaise with customers and approved service providers to arrange servicing.
• Ensure timely repairs and return of vehicles to customers.

THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE ARE:

NON-NEGOTIABLE REQUIREMENTS:

• A Grade 12 / Matric Certificate or equivalent WITH at least 1 year's working experience AND a basic understanding of vehicle servicing and maintenance processes.
• A valid South African ID and valid driver's licence.
• Good communication skills in English, with strong administrative ability and attention to detail.
• Computer literate with experience using Microsoft Office.

Physically fit and able to work in an operational environment.

WILL ALSO COUNT HIGHLY IN YOUR FAVOUR IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

• Previous experience in fleet maintenance coordination or vehicle servicing administration.
• Experience liaising with customers, workshops, or dealerships.
• Experience working on TSD or a similar fleet management system.
• Knowledge of TSD or similar fleet management software.

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

• Managing servicing requirements for vehicles currently on rent.
• Monitoring and following up on Out of Service (OOS) vehicles, including tyres, glass, missing tools, equipment, and other maintenance requirements.
• Generating service due reports on TSD.
• Contacting long-term rental customers to arrange vehicle servicing.
• Coordinating servicing appointments with approved service providers.
• Ensuring repair orders are accurately raised on TSD for on-rent vehicles and vehicles at the depot.
• Monitoring the progress of services and repairs and ensuring vehicles are returned to customers promptly.
• Maintaining accurate records of all servicing and maintenance activities.
