Job summary

Placements24 seeks an experienced Well Integrity Engineer to support offshore projects, based in Nelspruit with a hybrid schedule. You will develop and implement well integrity management systems, perform risk assessments, and ensure regulatory compliance throughout the lifecycle of wells.

The role requires a bachelor’s in petroleum/mechanical engineering and 6+ years in well integrity/operations, with offshore exposure and ability to commute as needed. Competitive package and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 6 years' experience in well integrity engineering or operations in oil & gas.
• Knowledge of well construction, completion, and intervention techniques.
• Experience with risk assessment methodologies and management systems.
• Familiarity with offshore operational environments and challenges.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage well integrity management systems (WIMS) per regulatory standards.
• Conduct detailed risk assessments to identify failure mechanisms and mitigations.
• Oversee well integrity testing, monitoring, and data analysis programs.
• Review and approve completion designs and workover plans with integrity requirements.
• Investigate well integrity incidents and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with API/ISO standards and regulatory requirements.
