The role requires extensive experience in FPSO hook-ups, subsea installation and platform works, plus strong leadership, communication, and HSEQ capabilities to drive high-profile projects in a demanding offshore environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent professional qualification.
• Minimum 10 years in offshore construction and installation with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Survival certification (e.g., BOSIET/FOET) and medical examination.

Responsibilities

• Oversee offshore installation projects from planning to demobilization.
• Ensure strict adherence to HSEQ policies and procedures throughout all phases.

About the Role

Our client, a leading force in offshore energy exploration and production, is actively seeking an accomplished Offshore Installation Manager for their operations based out of Cape Town, Western Cape. This critical leadership role demands extensive experience in managing complex offshore construction and installation projects. You will be responsible for the overall safety, efficiency, and successful execution of all installation activities, ensuring compliance with stringent international regulations and our client's high standards. The position is site-based, requiring a strong commitment to working offshore in challenging environments. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of offshore installation projects, from planning and mobilization to execution and demobilization.
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) policies and procedures throughout all project phases.
• Manage and lead multidisciplinary offshore construction teams, including engineers, supervisors, and specialized personnel.
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure on-time and within-budget project delivery.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution and effective communication.
• Implement risk management strategies and contingency plans to address potential challenges and ensure operational continuity.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor progress, identify potential hazards, and ensure quality standards are met.
• Provide strong leadership and mentorship to the offshore team, fostering a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Civil, Marine) or equivalent professional qualification.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in offshore construction and installation within the Oil & Gas industry, with at least 5 years in a management or supervisory role.
• Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale offshore projects such as FPSO hook-ups, subsea infrastructure installation, or platform installation.
• In-depth knowledge of offshore installation techniques, heavy lifting operations, and marine logistics.
• Strong understanding of relevant HSEQ regulations and best practices in the offshore energy sector.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams in demanding offshore conditions.
• Excellent project management, organizational, and decision-making capabilities.
• Valid offshore survival certification (e.g., BOSIET/FOET) and medical examination.
• Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
