Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Drilling Fluids Engineer to join our client’s offshore-focused team in George, Western Cape. You will design, implement, and optimize drilling fluid programs to meet challenging geological and operational conditions, while supporting safe offshore operations.

The role requires 5+ years in drilling fluids, offshore exposure, and strong data analysis skills. A hybrid work arrangement provides on-site collaboration with offshore projects and shore-based duties

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Petroleum Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in drilling fluids engineering, offshore exposure.
• Strong knowledge of drilling fluid systems and chemistry.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement drilling fluid programs tailored to well objectives.
• Supervise offshore fluid mixing and handling operations.
• Monitor and adjust fluid properties to maintain performance.
