Mediclinic Legae Mabopane in Pretoria, South Africa is seeking a Unit Manager for a nursing ward to ensure safe patient care and a positive client experience. You will lead staff, manage resources and optimise processes to maintain high clinical standards.

The role requires a Professional Nurse qualification with postgraduate management qualification or extensive leadership experience in a hospital. Applicants with perioperative nursing specialization are encouraged, and the position is on-site

Qualifications

• Professional Nurse qualification required.
• Postgraduate Diploma in Health Services Management or equivalent OR 5 years leadership in a hospital.
• Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing if managing a specialist unit (e.g. Perioperative Nursing).
• All applicants will be considered; preference given per Employment Equity Plan.

Responsabilités

• Ensure safe patient care by meeting clinical quality standards.
• Manage and mitigate clinical risks in the unit.
• Lead and manage the staff in the unit.
• Manage the unit's operational and capital expenses according to budget guidelines.
• Contribute to a positive client experience in the hospital.
• Support achievement of interdepartmental outcomes.
• Manage key stakeholder relations.
