Job summary

Mediclinic Southern Africa is seeking a Professional Nurse to deliver high-quality nursing care in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team. The role focuses on patient safety, accurate documentation, and staff development within an on-site, permanent post.

The successful candidate will hold registration as a General Nurse, have essential life-support competencies, and bring knowledge of pharmacology and nursing processes. A postgraduate diploma in a relevant field is desirable.

Qualifications

• Nurse must be registered with the relevant South African nursing council and hold the described diploma/degree.
• Experience with multi-disciplinary teams is a plus but not required.
• Knowledge of infection prevention and control practices is essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality nursing care in collaboration with a multi-professional team.
• Identify, prevent, and manage risks to ensure patient safety.
• Facilitate a positive client experience by creating a conducive environment.
• Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions.
• Create a learning environment that builds staff competence.
• Ensure that all utilised stock and equipment are accurately charted.
