Job summary

Mediclinic Southern Africa in Worcester seeks a Nursing Manager to lead nursing services, focusing on patient safety and patient experience while managing human and other resources. The ideal candidate has 5 years of professional nurse experience in a hospital and at least 3 years in nursing management, with qualifications in health services management or accredited management.

The role is permanent and based on site in Worcester, reporting within the Mediclinic Southern Africa network.

Qualifications

• Professional Nurse qualification and a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Services Management or an Accredited Management Qualification.
• 5 years’ Professional Nurse experience in a hospital and 3 years’ Nursing Management experience.
• Auditing and accreditation processes; clinical risk management; computer literate (Microsoft Office).

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct the nursing service in the hospital, including patient safety and patient experience; and management of human and other resources.
• Drive quality improvement and risk management across nursing services.
• Oversee resource planning, budgeting and staffing to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
