Job summary

S-Cubed Western Cape is seeking an Operational Manager Nursing Grade 1 for the Children's Ward. The role requires strong leadership, governance, and the ability to steer a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality child health care.

Applicants must have at least 7 years of nursing experience, SANC registration as Professional Nurse, and a valid driver’s license. The post offers a competitive package and benefits, with opportunities to lead service improvements in a dynamic health district.

Qualifications

A minimum of 7 years nursing experience after registration as Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing.
Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as Professional Nurse.
Code B/EB driver’s license and willingness to travel for meetings/outreach/operations.
Willingness to work overtime, after-hours, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership and management through supervision, coordination and delegation to deliver quality care.
Clinical governance of the designated unit and support to nursing services.
Manage resources, people, budgets and procurement at unit level.
Oversee training, research and education within the unit.
Ensure professional and ethical conduct in line with legislation.
