Job summary

S-Cubed, Western Cape, is seeking an Operational Manager Nursing (Theatre) to lead the specialised theatre nursing service. The role requires strategic planning, staffing, budgeting and staffing optimisation to support high-quality patient care in a public health setting.

The incumbent will drive training, policy adherence and research within the department, ensuring ethical standards and professional development across the service, with after-hours shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse is required.
• Post-basic theatre nursing qualification or peri-operative specialization is essential.
• Experience in nursing management, with ability to plan, manage and co-ordinate services.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, co-ordinate and maintain an optimal specialised nursing service in the theatre area.
• Utilise human and financial resources to ensure optimal operations.
• Initiate training, development and research within the nursing department.
• Provide support to the nursing service and the institution.
