Job summary

Department of Health, Cullinan Care and Rehabilitation Centre, seeks an Operational Manager Nursing (General Unit) to lead the nursing team and ensure high-quality patient care. You will drive nursing practice, compliance with laws and policies, and inter-professional collaboration.

The ideal candidate must be a registered Professional Nurse with SANC, have a Diploma in Mental Health, and a minimum of 7 years' nursing experience (3 in psychiatric settings).

Qualifications

• Qualified and registered with SANC as a Professional Nurse (Diploma/Degree in Nursing).
• Diploma in Mental Health (Basic Psychiatric Nursing) required.
• Minimum 7 years' nursing experience after registration, with 3 years in mental health.
• Diploma/ Degree in Nursing Administration or Health Service Management is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Ensure clinical nursing practice within the unit according to scope and standards.
• Coordinate PMDS, CPD, mentorship and orientation for staff development.
• Oversee inter-professional collaboration and multi-disciplinary teamwork.
• Support quality assurance, OHSC compliance and Batho Pele principles in service delivery.
