East Boston Social Centers is seeking an Accounting Manager to report to the Chief Financial Officer and help oversee day-to-day financial operations, general ledger maintenance, and reporting in a nonprofit setting.

The role emphasizes GAAP compliance, grant administration, and the use of AI/automation to streamline processes. Requires 5+ years accounting, including 3+ in nonprofit, with a CPA or master’s preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee daily accounting functions including AP/AR, payroll, bank reconciliations, journal entries.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and variance reports.
• Monitor and track restricted, unrestricted, and temporarily restricted funds.
• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and assist program managers with budget monitoring.
• Coordinate the annual audit process and other regulatory documents in compliance with federal and state laws.
• Prepares grant invoicing and processing of related paperwork.
• Assist with special project as needed.
