Placements24 is seeking a skilled NLP Engineer to join their AI & Emerging Technologies team in Paarl, Western Cape. You will design, develop, and deploy NLP models to understand, interpret, and generate human language, tackling sentiment analysis, topic modeling, translation, and QA systems.

The role emphasizes collaboration with data scientists and software engineers, using TensorFlow, PyTorch, spaCy, and NLTK, and maintaining robust NLP pipelines from preprocessing to feature extraction.

Qualificações

• Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• Proven experience in developing and deploying NLP models.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Proficiency with NLP libraries and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, spaCy, NLTK).
• Solid understanding of linguistics, machine learning, and deep learning concepts.
• Experience with data preprocessing techniques for text data.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills for presenting technical findings.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and implement NLP algorithms and models for text analysis and understanding.
• Train models for text classification, named entity recognition, sentiment analysis, and summarization.
• Work with large volumes of unstructured text data.
• Utilize machine learning frameworks and NLP libraries (e.g., spaCy, NLTK, Hugging Face Transformers).
• Develop and maintain robust NLP pipelines for data preprocessing and feature extraction.
• Collaborate with data scientists and software engineers to integrate NLP solutions into products and services.
• Evaluate and improve the performance of NLP models.
• Stay current with research advancements in NLP and related fields.
