Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled NLP Engineer to join its growing AI team in Polokwane. You will design, build and deploy NLP models for text understanding, classification, and translation, processing large datasets.

You will use Python and libraries such as NLTK, spaCy, and Hugging Face Transformers, plus frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch. Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product managers.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Linguistics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Natural Language Processing development.
• Proficiency in Python and NLP libraries (NLTK, spaCy, Transformers).
• Experience with deep learning techniques applied to NLP.
• Strong understanding of text preprocessing, feature engineering, and evaluation for language tasks.

Responsibilities

• Develop NLP models for text classification, sentiment analysis, NER, and translation.
• Utilize deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) for training NLP models.
• Process and analyze large volumes of text data to extract insights.
• Integrate NLP capabilities into existing and new applications and platforms.
