Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an AI Engineer specialized in NLP to join our tech team in Paarl. You will design, implement, and deploy NLP models for text classification, sentiment analysis, and translation, partnering with data scientists and engineers to integrate NLP into products.

You will work on large-scale text data, optimize language understanding systems, and stay current with NLP advances. A Master's/PhD and 3+ years in AI/ML are required.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, AI, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy NLP models for text classification, sentiment analysis, entity recognition, and translation.
• Build and optimize language understanding systems, chatbots, and virtual assistants.
• Process and analyze large volumes of textual data using NLP techniques and tools.
• Collaborate with data scientists and software engineers to integrate NLP capabilities into products.
