Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Blockchain Developer (Solidity Specialist) in Paarl, Western Cape. You will design, test, and deploy secure smart contracts for NFT marketplaces, tokens, and DeFi protocols on Ethereum and related networks.

Lead the development with Hardhat/Truffle/Foundry, ensure gas-efficient contracts, and collaborate with frontend teams to deliver integrated solutions. Hybrid work model and stock options offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/Engineering.
• 3+ years as a Blockchain Developer with Solidity focus.
• Strong knowledge of Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM).
• Experience with smart contract frameworks (Hardhat, Truffle, Foundry).
• Understanding of token standards (ERC-721, ERC-20).
• Familiarity with Web3 libraries (Web3.js, Ethers.js).
• Version control with Git.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Hybrid work in Paarl, Western Cape.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy smart contracts using Solidity.
• Maintain smart contracts for NFT marketplaces, tokens, and DeFi protocols.
• Ensure contracts are secure and gas-efficient with best practices.
• Collaborate with frontend to integrate contracts with UIs.
• Test and debug smart contract code thoroughly.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback.
• Stay up-to-date with Solidity, EVM, and blockchain developments.
• Troubleshoot contract functionality and deployment issues.
• Contribute to technical design and architecture of new features.
• Work with product team to translate requirements into technical solutions.
