This position, located in Paarl, Western Cape , will focus on developing and deploying secure and efficient smart contracts on the Ethereum blockchain and related networks. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy smart contracts using Solidity.
• Implement and maintain smart contracts for NFT marketplaces, token generation, and DeFi protocols.
• Ensure smart contracts are secure, gas-efficient, and adhere to best practices.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate smart contracts with user interfaces.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of smart contract code.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Solidity, EVM, and blockchain technology.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to smart contract functionality and deployment.
• Contribute to the technical design and architecture of new blockchain features.
• Work closely with the product team to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience (3+ years) as a Blockchain Developer with a strong focus on Solidity.
• In-depth knowledge of the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) and its architecture.
• Experience with smart contract development frameworks such as Hardhat, Truffle, or Foundry.
• Understanding of token standards (ERC-721, ERC-20, etc.).
• Familiarity with Web3 libraries (e.g., Web3.js, Ethers.js).
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment in Paarl, Western Cape .
