Job summary

Mototeam (Pty) Ltd is seeking an energetic Vehicle Sales Consultant in Gauteng. You will drive monthly sales targets for new and/or pre-owned vehicles, generate leads, conduct demos and test drives, and close deals while providing exceptional customer service.

You will manage the full sales process, maintain accurate records in the dealership CMS, and cross-sell financing and related products. A valid driver’s license and local commuting ability are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of automotive vehicle sales experience at a franchised dealership.
• Proven track record of achieving monthly vehicle sales targets.
• Experience in new vehicle sales, pre-owned vehicle sales, or both.
• Strong negotiation and closing skills.
• Excellent CRM and follow-up abilities.
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans; additional local language advantageous.
• Valid, unendorsed driver’s licence.
• Reside in or near Hatfield, Pretoria; able to commute.

Duties include

• Proactively generate leads, follow up on enquiries and convert opportunities into sales.
• Conduct professional vehicle presentations, demonstrations and test drives.
• Identify customer needs and recommend suitable vehicle solutions.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals.
• Manage the full sales process, from initial enquiry and prospecting through to negotiation, finance application and vehicle delivery.
• Cross-sell relevant products and services, including finance and value-added offerings where applicable.
• Maintain accurate customer records, lead management and sales activities on the dealership’s CMS or Dealer Management System.
• Deliver an excellent customer experience and contribute towards CSI targets.
• Keep up to date with vehicle specifications, features, pricing, competitor offerings and market trends.
• Apply effective prospecting, networking and digital sales techniques to grow market share.
• Ensure all sales documentation is accurate and completed in accordance with dealership procedures and applicable legislation.
• Comply with relevant legal and regulatory requirements, including FICA, FAIS, the Consumer Protection Act and POPIA, as applicable to the role.
• Uphold the dealership’s professional image, ethical standards and customer service expectations

Requirements

• At least 2 years’ automotive vehicle sales experience at a franchised dealership.
• Proven track record in achieving monthly vehicle sales targets.
• Experience in new vehicle sales, pre-owned vehicle sales, or both.
• Good understanding of the vehicle sales process, finance applications and associated financial parameters.
• Strong negotiation, communication and closing skills.
• Excellent customer relationship management and follow-up skills.
• Computer literate, with proficiency in MS Office, social media and dealership systems such as CMS or similar.
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans; an additional local language will be advantageous.
• Valid, unendorsed driver’s licence.
• Reside in or within a reasonable commuting distance of Hatfield, Pretoria.
• Clear background checks are essential.
• Proof of recent sales performance will be required.
