Job summary

Sabenza IT & Recruitment is seeking an experienced Network & Service Operations Engineer to lead enterprise network and security operations. You will oversee WAN/SD-WAN, firewalls, VPNs and NAC, ensuring secure, resilient and available infrastructure.

You will drive incident management, coordinate multiple vendors, and develop LLDs and security plans while providing clear updates to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in Network Security Engineering within large enterprises.
• Hands-on with WAN/SD-WAN, firewalls, VPNs, NAC and network segmentation.
• Experience in security monitoring, logging and incident handling.
• Ability to provide technical direction during high-pressure incidents.

Network & Service Operations Engineer

Lead. Secure. Restore. Optimise.

We are looking for an experienced Network & Service Operations Engineer to take a hands-on leadership role in enterprise network and security operations. You'll be responsible for keeping critical infrastructure secure, resilient and available while leading high-priority incidents, coordinating technology vendors and driving service restoration across complex enterprise environments.

What You'll Be Doing

• Support and optimise enterprise WAN and SD-WAN environments.
• Manage firewalls, VPNs, secure remote access and NAC technologies.
• Monitor network security events, logs and suspicious traffic.
• Support cloud connectivity and hybrid network environments.
• Conduct firewall ruleset, network segmentation, VPN and security-hardening reviews.
• Identify security vulnerabilities, risks and control gaps and recommend improvements.
• Implement firewall policies, security changes and network segmentation.
• Coordinate SD-WAN security deployments and network/security changes.
• Lead and coordinate P1 and critical incidents, driving rapid service restoration.
• Provide clear, structured updates to technical teams, business stakeholders and executives.
• Support root-cause analysis and post-incident reviews.
• Coordinate multiple technology vendors and managed service providers.
• Monitor vendor performance and elevate technical or service issues when required.
• Develop Low-Level Designs (LLDs), implementation plans, risk registers and technical documentation.
• Support network standards, governance, service assurance and operational reporting.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years' experience in Network Security Engineering, ideally within large enterprise environments.

• Cloud connectivity
• Proven experience supporting or leading P1/critical incidents.

• Ability to provide technical direction and remain composed during high-pressure incidents.
• Strong stakeholder communication and vendor-management skills.
• Experience producing LLDs, network/security standards, change plans and risk documentation.
