Job summary

Afrocentric IP is seeking a Senior Network and Security Engineer to monitor, protect and optimise complex network and security environments for the organisation and clients. You will lead a technical team and work with stakeholders to ensure reliable, compliant operations.

The role requires extensive networking/security experience, cloud and data centre exposure, and a track record in enterprise environments. SA-specific certifications and regulatory awareness are valued.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years Networking and Security experience in engineering/ops.
• 4 years in managing a technical team and stakeholder management.
• Experience supporting enterprise or managed service environments.
• Experience with SIEM, firewalls, endpoint security, and monitoring solutions.
• Exposure to data centre, cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments.
• Experience in regulated/compliance-driven environments advantageous.

Experience

Minimum:

• 8-10 years Networking and Security experience (Networking Engineering, Security Operations & Infrastructure Support).
• 4 Years in managing a technical team and stakeholder management.
• Experience supporting enterprise or managed service environments.
• Experience with SIEM, firewalls, endpoint security, and monitoring solutions.
• Exposure to data centre, cloud, and hybrid infrastructure environments.
• Experience working within regulated or compliance-driven environments is advantageous.
